Barnabas received a word from God about a young man named Saul. The church hesitated to trust Saul because of his past as a persecutor and murderer of Christians, but Barnabas refused to let that history define him. God had given him a mission: to invest in this unlikely leader through mentoring and discipleship (Acts 11:22–26). We see Barnabas and Saul in Antioch for one year, then Barnabas and Paul on missionary journeys (2 years), and finally Paul and Barnabas multiplying the work with others. A lot can happen in three years… As we approach January, we are celebrating three incredible years in Manila. Looking back, 2025 has been our most fruitful year yet, highlighted by the commissioning of three remarkable missionaries to the nations. We rejoice in sending out Arman and Sophie Metante and Jhon Jhon Balucay—for His glory! In a world full of excellent ministry training schools, we never want to lose sight of the examples set by Jesus, Barnabas, and Paul in mentoring and training as they did life together. Spending time seeking Jesus together. Intercession. Worship. Outreach. Bible study. Meals together. Ministry trips together. As Paul beautifully puts it in 1 Thessalonians 2:8: “Just as a nursing mother cares for her children, so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the Gospel of God but our lives as well.” Thank you for joining us on this journey!
