Awaken Hearts echoes the mission statement of Iris Global (our missionary family/affiliation)

We keep it simple.  Jesus did.  Love always looks like something.  Everyday is an adventure in becoming love while preaching the Gospel and making disciples for Jesus.  We stop for the one.  We start with the lost and least.  We embrace the paradox becoming rich with the poor and giving our lives away.

Awaken Hearts has three primary expressions:    GATHER, GROW, and GO!

  1.  Gather- We stop for the one, preaching and demonstrating the Gospel of the Kingdom and building a Christ-centered community (Encounter Mornings/ gatherings in our home)
  2. Grow- His presence is our highest priority. All discipleship and ministry flows from this place of intimacy and abiding in Him (Dream Center and partnering with RockFish Philippines and KIDS International)
  3. Go- We equip and empower missionaries for the end-times harvest! The Philippines is not just a mission field; it is a mission-sending nation! We envision a missionary training school for Filipinos and a Hospitality home (a place of rest, healing, and restoration for Filipino and international missionaries).

  • Jean and Teisa are faithful laid down lovers of Jesus whom I have known for years.  From their Kingdom wedding on the beach in Pemba to their devoted service in leading our Iris base in South Africa, they are servant leaders who pour out their lives as an offering to Him.  I believe that Jean and Teisa are strategically placed for an end-time harvest of missionaries, which I saw in a vision years ago.  I am excited for them and bless their new work in the Philippines.

  • After completing the internship, Jean was commissioned to serve with Heidi & Roland Baker in Pemba Mozambique. He was licensed in 2006 and ordained in 2008  and has been a member of ANGA in good standing for 12+ years while serving as Iris Global base leader/missionary.   I have always been impressed with Jean’s commitment to missions, to the poor, and his life of faith.  I believe Jean and Teisa have great hearts for God and His Kingdom, and for people.  Their ministries have been and will continue to be good soil into which one could sow some of their seed.
