The room was a rollercoaster of joy and bittersweetness as the youth shared the impact that John Jhon has made on their lives over the past seven years of discipleship and friendship in Tondo, the largest slum area of Manila. John Jhon joined the Boys Home in 2018 and faithfully served in very challenging circumstances. His sister, the first believer in the family, expressed her awe in witnessing his growth and maturity as a youth leader in Tondo and as a worship leader at RockFish Philippines (church plant). Tears and laughter filled the air as his family, friends, missionaries, and others shared stories about his life and influence. Teisa expressed her gratitude for Jhon Jhon’s leadership in leading Encounter nights and some prayer mornings, as his hunger inspired others to deepen their intimacy with Jesus. Finally, Jean invited everyone to surround Jhon Jhon and pray for him as he embarks on his next journey to the nations.
