We do not pray for divine appointments anymore…

What do you mean, Teisa? Why would you stop praying for divine appointments? It is pretty simple, friends. WE ARE the divine appointment. As a proud wife, I’d like to give you a recent example.

Two weeks ago, Jean drove 20 hours to attend a celebration of life for a dear friend and prayer partner of Awaken Hearts. He was blessed to share at the service and pray for several people to encounter Jesus. He also received a last-minute invitation to a wedding the next day. He already made plans to meet a friend for coffee in the morning, but since the wedding was later in the afternoon- he was delighted (we will skip the wifely advice regarding his outfit, which needed a quick shopping trip, pictures, and my đź‘Ť).

Jean had a fantastic morning coffee with his friend Mark (who visited us in South Africa). Jean knew Greater Love Ministries hosts a regular Saturday outreach in Springfield, MA- so Mark wanted to go with him. When they arrived, the park was full of people. The air was thick with hopelessness. Many were strung out from addictions. Others were overwhelmed by physical pain/sickness and hardships. Mich (the ministry leader) greeted them and handed Jean the mic (some caught the video that someone recorded on the FB link here). Several people repented of sin and called on Jesus to be Lord. Others were healed physically or emotionally. The atmosphere of the park changed. People could feel the shift towards faith, hope, and love. (Mich DoBlok and Greater Love Ministries is an amazing place to sow; here is a link to their current outreach fundraiser.

Jean hurries back to his parent’s home to change. He arrives at the wedding early, excited to see many people he has not seen in years. One of those is a spiritual mentor, Wayne Anderson, from Stand Sure Ministries. Jean financially supported Wayne’s ministry for 15+ years…now Wayne and Stephanie are monthly supporters of Awaken Hearts. So beautifully Kingdom, aye?! The wedding is precious and powerful. Jean prays for the lovely newlywed couple during the reception. The groom shares his recent dream regarding missions and the Philippines. Could it be? Pray with us!

So am I just shamelessly bragging about my husband? Maybe a little. But seriously, the Holy Spirit desires EVERYONE to walk in this same anointing. If the Spirit of the Living God is in you, YOU are the divine appointment! Everywhere YOU go! Christ in YOU- the hope of Glory! So be His divine appointment today!
