Home sweet home!

Dearest Friends and Family,

We arrived home safe and sound in our beloved Mozambique last TuesdayJ It has been a whirlwind week with lots of testimonies, so please check out our blog in the next few weeks ( we will have spare time after Christmas to reflect and post!) Everything from our new expanded Sewing Center for widows/women at risk, to the Bible School graduation we just had on Monday, the Holy Spirit has been crazy busy in our corner of the world.

Blessings to you as you celebrate the love and joy of our Savior during this holiday season. And may the Lord pour out an abundance of His Holy Spirit and provision on you in this New Year!!!

Much Love, Teisa and Jean

PS. We also to share our Christmas poem with everyone who might not have received it in the mail…..

Twas a few weeks before Christmas and a newsletter was due,
So Teisa and Jean composed an entertaining rhyme for you!

Our first year of marriage started with going back to school,
From learning Portuguese to each other, Portugal was super cool!

Soon we were home in Mozambique and covered in sweat,
Dealing with 3rd world problems without becoming upset.

Facing the cues of people, many with great needs unmet,
Until Jesus comes and miracles abound in His amazing silhouette.

Our boys graduated to the bigger boys dorm and 1st grade,
Ever having adventures, they inspired the first Iris fire brigade!

With over 188 kids in our huge family and more on the way,
We are so grateful for each new treasure in our fun family fray.

Other highlights like teaching our student pastors and giving out food,
We contended for His Mozambican bride to be wooed.

Looking back over this year, we are so thankful for you,
Our family and friends who have given us so much anew!

Your love and prayers have overwhelmed our hearts and expectations.
Onward together, we press on for His glory in the nations!

Off to Africa again!

Our time in America is almost over again! Jean and I are finishing all the things on our “to do” lists and beginning to pack for the next year in Africa. One of the things on my list was to make a Face book page, which I just finished:) So for all you facebookers, please add us to your “friends!”

Please pray for us as we return to Pemba! Jean and I have several projects lined up for us upon returning, but our favorite one will be preparing for Christmas! One of our churches, Valley Brook Community Church, in Granby, CT will be sponsoring our kids this year! More specifically, their kids have raised the money to buy Christmas gifts for our kids- we named it “Kids loving Kids!” We are so excited to get home and begin shopping for our huge family of over 215 kids (188 in our children center and another 25 or so of our leaders’ kids)

So please be praying for us and we will keep you posted on all God is doing in our little part of the vineyard!
